How does GTA RP work today?
Roleplay servers use multiplayer frameworks for GTA V, mainly FiveM. The server runs at a host and players connect with a client. More in our FiveM guide. FiveM’s developer Cfx.re has been part of Rockstar since 2023. To our knowledge Rockstar has not confirmed whether or how this carries over to GTA 6.
